Take inbound, outbound, and blended calls, answer questions, and document activities in the CRM.
Maintain Call logs & necessary registers and do follow-ups wherever needed to ensure maximum student conversion.
Review prospective student applications for admission and verify the accuracy of application
information.
Follow-up with students to verify any application issues, including
discrepancies or missing information.
Contact applicant references to verify information included on resumes,
letters of recommendations, and applications.
Create profiles for each applicant and work collaborative with other counsellors to review make final approvals
Coordinate applicant approval process with Academic Director for each
programmes.
Meet with and interview prospective students prior to final application
decisions.
Create and maintain enrolment guidelines and goals to use for future purposes.
Monitor, analyze, document, report and communicate sales trends, student patterns, and competitor activities.
Qualifications for Admissions counselor
An Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in any related field may be
preferred.
1-2 years of experience as Admission/Student Counselor in an Educational
Institution.
Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver information
effectively and persuasively.
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel
and PowerPoint.
Proven experience working with and speaking to young adults.
Desire and ability to work with
students at the varied age level with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability
toward accomplishing their educational goals.
Ability to organize tasks and
manage time to meet many and varied deadlines and communicate effectively with
students, parents, Institute administrators and other staff, including the
ability to discuss topics which may be sensitive.
